Was it a dream ?
It felt like a dream, and still does. Kate & Rob, finally said "I do", in the shady courtyard of the Palazzo Belmonte with their closest family and friends, who had travelled from as far as the USA, Canada & Qatar to celebrate with them. We literally got the green light to go ahead at the end of August when Italy dropped the 5 day quarantine for British visitors and it was all systems go.
The wedding came together beautifully despite a lot of very last minute preparations. Flights had been cancelled and re booked, hotel dates had changed, and I probably fitted a years planning into two weeks. It was the most amazing wedding, and the team on the day, made it even more incredible.
A huge thank you @chrisbarberphotography for this incredible image and to @authenticweddings (cannot wait to see the film). It was lovely spending time with Chris & Neil, catching up on the last two years.
I want to also thank all my team in Santa Maria, from the florist to the hotels, for their patience and always being so supportive throughout the last 18 months or so.
Thanks to @maieutike_liveband for their wonderful performance, it was so good to hear them play "Little by Little" by Oasis again, as we all huddled around the happy couple, singing our hearts out and celebrating the fact that K & R had finally had their dream wedding. @k_ebs & Rob, hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Positano & Procida
We did it!!!!!

What a whirlwind the last 12 days have been since

What a whirlwind the last 12 days have been since we found out that the quarantine for Italy had been lifted and that our wedding on the 14th September could take place.
Tonight is the first night I have had to relax, it has been non stop. So tonight, I am catching up with emails, drinking lots of tea, and enjoying some cake made by Residenza Olimpia and of course enjoying the sunset from my apartment.
Quite an emotional few days since I arrived. Aurora was here visiting her Nonni Italiani, and we had time for an Ice-cream at Baffo's. I stayed at Residenza Olimpia for a few days and strategically placed myself there as it is next door to the ice-cream shop, so I knew I would see her. She adores Baffo. Who doesn't? Thanks to the team at Residenza Olimpia for their hospitality, always a pleasure to stay there.
I moved to an apartment and I am staying here now for a good few weeks as after the wedding, I have lots of weddings to plan for next year and a few couples visiting mid October.
@k_ebs & Rob, my gorgeous couple, arrived late last night, they checked into their apt, just off the main street, (they love it), and we had a pizza and a drink together, and all agreed it was so surreal to be sitting in Santa Maria together again, they had visited in September 2019 and because of the pandemic have had to move their wedding a few times. Even today we are pinching ourselves and feeling so blessed to be here. The excitement for the wedding is starting to build as guests have started to arrive today, K & R are so overwhelmed that so many people have actually made it from the UK, and other parts of the world including Canada and the USA.
The wedding is at the @palazzo_belmonte_licosa on Tuesday. I am working with @authenticweddings (Neil loves it here so much, he even got married here)... and @chrisbarberphotography Looking forward to meeting @by_jodie and @loveinthelemongrovewp
So let the next few days unravel the magic that is Santa Maria, and let Kate and Rob's story unfold beautifully with their family and friends.

Dreaming of Italian Sunshine 😎
Ciao everyone. Just sitting at my desk, realizing that it is almost September and two years since our last My Secret Italy wedding. How did that happen?
What a roller coaster ride for us all hey? Between date changes, cancellations and postponements, it has been a difficult time for everyone planning a wedding, not just in Italy, but in other places too.
I am dreaming of going back to Italy and hoping that on the 30th of August, the Italian government relax the quarantine rules. I can already feel the sun on my shoulders as I sit having an early morning coffee with my friends in the Piazza before my day begins. I cannot wait to see all my friends, who have been so supportive over the last two years.
A little update for you...
Still hopeful for a wedding on the 14th September this year, and praying for Kate & Rob, that their wedding can take place.
Looking forward to meeting some new My Secret Italy couples who are hoping to visit Twinkle Town, either in September or October. I cannot wait to show you all how amazing Santa Maria is.
I am looking forward to visiting some new hotels to add to the My Secret Italy portfolio & exciting news coming soon regarding the website.
Cannot wait, to smell the Jasmine, and see the tiny Bougainville petals that will have fallen, it is literally everywhere. I am dreaming about the blue sea, lunch at the Lido, Ice-cream at Baffo's, (golly I have missed him & Mrs. Baffo), the sound of the sea, & Maieutikè playing "Little By Little" by Oasis, to end the evening wedding party, the view from Torre Perrotti, & to finding love wherever I go.
Staying hopeful, positive & keeping the dream alive for the next few months.

The Wedding Day...
Most wedding days start with an early cappuccino at my favourite bar. On the way to the bar it is likely that I will bump into a few guests and it is always lovely to stop and chat and see how relaxed and excited they are about the day ahead. The sun is shining and after coffee I pop to the lovely deli to pick up strawberries and Prosecco for my bride and I pop along to see how she is and that everything is ok. Normally the bride stays somewhere completely different on the night before the wedding and on the morning itself she's joined by her bridesmaids for a breakfast outside on a terrace overlooking the sea, all very relaxed.
A favourite part of the day for me is delivering the flowers from the lovely florists Veronica and Luiji @lamaison.marie to the bride and in this photo the flowers have just arrived at the Garden Riviera hotel and I'm just about to take them up to the bride who has chosen Peonies and Roses which are very fragrant and handing them to the bride is a very special moment for me and the bride. It feels like the moment is finally here, the flowers are the finishing touch to the styling and we are almost ready ...
