A colourful church wedding, hilltop dinner & dancing under the stars
It was love at first sight for Claire and Liam and they booked soon after their visit to Santa Maria. A very stylish, fun couple, who fell in love with a little church by the sea in a village close to Santa Maria. They were married at 5.30pm, a little later in the day, as temperatures were high. Claire travelled to the church with her dad, in a vintage white Beetle, with the top down of course. The ceremony was in English and the chosen music, was a harpist, organist both accompanied by a stunning female vocalist.
I will always remember talking to Claire about styling and she told me that she wanted navy and white stripped table runners and bright flowers, in a pineapple. It worked beautifully.
A day we will never forget for the rest of our lives!
The church is perfect for a small wedding group, and it is very colourful inside. When Claire and Liam left the tiny church, guests showered the couple with confetti before setting off in the Beetle and up to the village of Castellabate for dinner and dancing to their own choice of music. Before the guests went to the restaurant, they enjoyed the views and another glass of Prosecco in a stunning courtyard in the village, a welcome retreat from the heat.
Liam is a David Bowie fan, and all the tables were named after Bowie songs, and Liam had managed to track down the actual record on vinyl of the track to display on each table. Dinner was served on a private terrace and as you can see from the images, a perfect backdrop for photos and the speeches.
Julie and Emillie were a great help to Claire and I. They made sure our day ran smoothly.
They made sure everyone’s stay in Santa Maria was eventful and were able to help all our guests with their travel plans.
Overall, without the two of them, Clare and I wouldn’t been able to achieve such an incredible day.
